The Permanent Commission of Economy, Finance and National Development held a meeting on Tuesday to show the progress on the discussion of the Organic Law Project for Tax Coordination and Harmonization.
From the seat of parliament, the deputy and president of the Standing Commission of Economy, Finance and National Development, Jesus Farías, stressed that the intention of this law is to have a national tax system that guarantees the normal income of taxes.
“Last week we approved the Law in the first discussion with the intention that the debate be held throughout the country, with governors, mayors, workers, business sectors and the population in general,” he said.
He noted that the tax chaos in the country obstructs the effort that has been made with the support of all political and economic sectors for the recovery of the economy.
“It is necessary to guarantee that investment incentives can be regulated, in addition there must be tax justice. The root of all the economic problems and deregulation in the country are given by the economic blockade », he limited.
Likewise, he added, “this instrument has the purpose of coordinating and harmonizing all the initiatives, the structure of regional and local governments with a national vision. We are sure that this law will respond to the first task on the political agenda of the current historical moment of the country, which is the recovery of the economy, that is why we will give support and build the conditions to make it possible”, he said.
Finally, he said that the Law seeks to guarantee a real harmonization of all the tax systems of the country, that there is no exaggeration when establishing rates and that the government instances can guarantee the memories to develop their projects.
