“For us it is very important to have the agenda of the defense sector. We are interested in the discussion that has to do with the restructuring of the ESMAD, General Sanabria has told us that this is on the table and that we are going to dialogue in a calm and slow manner, but also with many voices so that they can give their opinion”, said Racero.

He also stressed that “what is being discussed at the government level is to see how this ESMAD is transformed into a force that is not subject to reproach in the actions in the containment in violent acts participating in public demonstrations”.

In recent weeks, General Sanabria also assured that the now ESMAD will have a first change, in his name. “Unit for Dialogue and Accompaniment to the Public Demonstration It will be the name that will be proposed to the President and the Minister of Defense,” said the director of the Police.
He also referred to the changes in the clothing of the uniformed men: “we will have two devices, one specialized in intervention and another basic support device.
