The elected deputy of the Christian Conservative Party, Sara Concha, announced that he will leave the Republican bench -which converges with the Republican Party and the Concha community-, indicating that by affinity he will integrate the National Renovation bench (RN).
“Like most of the small parties, my party, the Christian Conservative, disappeared – it must do the re-charting – so I remain independent. I decided to join the RN bench due to affinity issues, it adheres more to my principles “, said the elected parliamentarian to T13.
“Chile Vamos (a coalition that RN is in) does not represent me 100% – there is no bench that represents 100% me or my people – but it is the closest thing. The idea is to be able to work there. in the most valuable subjects ”, added Concha.
The new legislator stated that she will remain independent and will not be a member of the still ruling party.
Another drop in the Republican bench
With Concha’s decision, the Republican bench suffers another drop. And it is that the elected deputies Johannes kaiser Y Gonzalo de la Carrera they resigned their membership in the Republican Party.
Kaiser resigned from the community on November 24, after a video was broadcast on social networks in which the next parliamentarian questioned the right to vote of women.
De la Carrera, meanwhile, resigned from the party on December 22. The former republican was questioned for broadcasting fake news against the elected president Gabriel boric during the presidential campaign.
The elected deputy acknowledged that from the command of the former candidate Jose Antonio Kast They sent him a doctored photo of the flag-bearer of Approve Dignity. The image – which was denied – was a selfie, in which Boric was seen in front of excesses during a demonstration.
With these resignations, the Republican caucus would be left with 12 parliamentarians -of 15 originally-, if Kaiser is not on the committee. De la Carrera has already declared himself “independent.”
When asked about her relationship with Kast, Concha said that “it was part of the pact to support each other. But the fact that he was not elected does not cause this distancing to be generated, as long as it does not go against what my principles are ”.
