The new facilities will also have an interventional area, a box for peritoneal dialysis and an emergency area.
The engineer Rogelio Robles, project manager of the City of Health, reported that the buildings of this block are in conditions to be occupied, which have been duly inspected, complying with addendum number seven, in terms of substantial acceptance. part of the project, which was toured by Dr. Enrique Lau Cortés, General Director of the CSS, who verified the facilities, so that they are in accordance with the requirements of the contract.
For his part, Dr. Alex González, National Executive Director of Health Services and Benefits of the CSS, explained that the Specialized Institute of Nephrology, Transplantation and Blood Bank is a modern center with 170 hospital beds for transplant patients and is has installed a Hemodialysis Room to attend to 45 patients in three shifts, per day, equipped with 15 armchairs and two isolation rooms.
He also stressed that the Blood Bank has high-tech equipment for sample processing, immunochemical, immunological and serological tests, three new refrigerators to keep all blood products at adequate temperatures, in addition to a general room for donation of blood, plasma and platelets.
The City of Health is a fourth-level medical center, where the medical specialties of patients who have a referral and require care of the highest complexity will be treated.
