The health crisis that began in 2020 was one of the reasons why many entrepreneurs are unable to continue with their venturesbut two and a half years after living with the COVID-19 virus, sales of household items and decoration in Lime have recovered to pre-pandemic levels, according to the study by Panorama Hogar.
The report noted that the consuming public returned to physical stores with greater force to remodel their homes and give them a new look that removes stress and their houses look sophisticated.
In this regard, Eleazar Tapia and Amalia Huamán, the married couple who are in charge of the decoration store chain Panorama Hogar, indicated that sales dropped considerably, but they had to adapt to digital channels to continue their sales.

“It has not been easy to maintain ourselves during the pandemic, the business fell by a large percentage, but we did not give up. We decided to reinvent ourselves with the aim of continuing to bring life to the homes of its customers. We launched the electronic sale of our products through various channels such as social networks, and now good purchase levels have been achieved”, Tapia mentioned.
The marriage that turns 26 today at the head of their empire began with a 2×2 square meter stand, located inside the Round Table Gallery. Now they have five stores distributed in the Center of Lima, San Borja, San Isidro and San Miguel. In addition, it employs almost 100 people, including many single mothers.
“We started with a very small capital. First we sold national decoration products. Seeing the acceptance of the public and always thinking about innovating, we decided to import from Iquique (Tacna) and then from Panama. This is how the business is taking shapeEleazar recalled.
With 26 years in this field, it distributes its products nationwide, helping hundreds of entrepreneurs to generate income for their families.
It also provides talks, business training and quality of its products such as mirrors, consoles, pictures, furniture, lamps, etc., with the aim of giving the businessperson more tools for their sales and for their workers to continue in their jobs.
