The Minister for Foreign Relations, Carlos Faria, received this Monday the style copies of Armando Benedettiwho will be the new ambassador of the Republic of Colombia in the country.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Faria stressed that, with the appointment of a Colombian ambassador to Venezuela, “hope” is growing to “raise the flags of solidarity, peace and understanding” between both nations. .

Benedetti arrived in Caracas this Sunday to present credentials to the Venezuelan government, as part of the actions to restore relations between the two countries.
At the end of July, the Venezuelan foreign minister, Carlos Farias, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs appointed by the current president Gustavo Petro; Álvaro Leyva, held a meeting to coordinate actions to restore relations between the two countries.
During that meeting, both delegations discussed 14 specific topicsamong which, in addition, the strengthening of commercial and economic exchange stands out, after agreeing to gradually reopen the border between nations.
