Colombia reported again more than 3,000 new cases of COVID-19 contagion daily. This time the figure was 3,022, after processing 57,919 tests (33,029 for PCR and 24,890 for antigens).
The country already accumulates a historical balance of 5,124,690 infections and 29,313,779 samples analyzed.
As of this Sunday, December 26, in addition, the number of recovered from the virus is 4’959,128, while active cases rose again and are now 17,374.
Bogotá (1’474,556), Antioquia (783,068), Valle del Cauca (423,153), Atlántico (342,428) and Cundinamarca (267,405), the areas of the country with the most historical cases.
Worldwide, infections already total 279,731,155.
In terms of deaths, 32 new ones were reported, of which 31 occurred on different days.
The country already has 129,761 deaths due to the pandemic and the world accumulates 5’399.307.
As of December 24, 67,668,582 doses of covid vaccines have been distributed in the country, of which 63,706,515 have been applied. What’s more, the number of people with a complete vaccination scheme is 27,850,680 and the reinforcements applied, 2,985,834.
