A third prosecutor joined the team of judicial investigators in the case of the double homicide of the retired lawyer and his wife that occurred last Thursday in Vicente López, where for now only the domestic employee is detained as a presumed deliverer but the material authors are fugitives with a loot of 1.5 million pesos, 10,000 dollars, diamonds and gold bars.

Given the complexity of the case, the attorney general of San Isidro, John Broyad, decided to add this Monday to the team that was already made up of prosecutors Martín Gómez and Alejandro Musso, both from the Vicente López East Functional Instruction Unit (UFI), to a third fiscal agent.

Is about Marcela Semería, head of the Drug UFI of Vicente Lópezalthough his selection is not linked to the fact that this double homicide has any relationship with drug trafficking, but rather to the vast trajectory of the prosecutor in the criminal field in this district in the north of the suburbs, the sources clarified.

“We are analyzing communications and private and municipal security cameras in that area to identify the perpetrators,” a source from the prosecution team confided to Télam.

María Aquino, the domestic worker, is charged as a “necessary participant” in a “criminis causa aggravated robbery and homicide”, crimes that provide life imprisonment.

Meanwhile, the employee María Ninfa “Nina” Aquino, the only one detained for the double crime of José Enrique Del Río (74) and María Mercedes Alonso (72)asked this Monday through his new lawyer, Hugo López Carribero, to expand his investigative statement.

Aquino was already questioned on Friday but on that occasion, assisted by an official defense attorney, she did not want to answer questions from the prosecutors and limited herself to presenting a one-and-a-half-page written defense in which denied the accusation and justified the possession of the leather wallet where it is believed could have been the key to the safe of the house, in which his employer had given it to him.

“We will answer all the necessary questions. My client is innocent and it is unusual that they first arrest the alleged delivery woman and then go out to look for the executors of the actwhen in reality it should have been the other way around,” López Carribero told Télam.

Aquinas, who is charged as a “necessary participant” in a “criminis causa aggravated robbery and homicide” -crimes that provide life imprisonment-was the person who found the bodies and was apprehended by a series of contradictions and strange attitudes that he mentioned in his account of the day of the discovery.

“This criminal event could not have taken place without the necessary participation of Mary Nymph Aquinowho paid the material authors the entrance to the aforementioned farm, as well as the information regarding the movements of the residents of the same and the elements of value existing in it, “says the imputation that the prosecutors wrote, to which he agreed Tel.

There it is specified that the loot stolen by the murderers of the mansion on the street Melo at 1100 corner Gaspar Campos, in Vicente López it was “10,000 US dollars, 1,500,000 pesos, 50 gold bars of 10 grams and several diamonds“; they also took the DVR with the images from the cameras in the house.

According to the investigations, among the attitudes of “Nina” that caught the attention of the prosecutors are that he arrived at 6.40 on Thursday and it took him more than two hours to worry that the couple did not come down for breakfast despite the fact that dinner was intact, a plate with broccoli and artichokes, which she had prepared for them the night before.

Nor did he notice when the mess that the murderer(s) had left in various rooms of the house that were in disarray arrived.

Investigators estimate the loot stolen at US$10,000, 1,500,000 pesos, 50 10-gram gold bars and several diamonds.

Also, after finding the bodies inside the car, Aquino turned off the light in the garage, closed the door again that leads from the house to the garage, put a key on it and hang it on the keyring and he started to tidy up the house.

In a search carried out at his house in the town of Pablo Podestá, the detectives found a reddish leather Prune brand wallet that was owned by Alonso and where, according to a son of the victims, his mother could have hidden the key to the safe Where did they steal the loot from?

on your cell phone, the experts detected a deleted photo of that same reddish wallet, which the defense justifies with the fact that his employer had given it to him some time ago, that there on one occasion he kept 2,000 pesos, lost it and when he found it, he photographed it to show his daughter that it had appeared.

Prosecutors also found it suspicious that despite the number of years he had been working on the house, Aquino said he was unaware of the existence of a safe.

The robbery and subsequent double crime was committed between 4:48 p.m. on Wednesday the 24th -time of Alonso’s last telephone contact- and 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, estimated time of death date.

The prosecutors handle the hypothesis that the Del Río couple was approached after the woman returned from shopping at a supermarket -the bags with merchandise were left on top of the car-, or that someone provided a copy of the key.

The investigations found a shot in one of the living rooms of the mansion, which went through a cushion, was embedded in the parquet floor and whose sheath the now detainee said she had found lying on a carpet, so it is believed that Before being killed in the car, the victims spent several hours being intimidated.

The victims were seated with the seat belts placed in the front seats of the Mercedes Benz E350, the woman on the driver’s side with a shot to the head and the man as a passenger with three shots.

The shooter executed them with a 9mm caliber pistol. from back to front from right to left, so it is believed that he could be in the back seat.

(FW) One hypothesis is that the perpetrators of the double crime got the couple into the car to go to another property they had in a western country and something precipitated the plan to murder them.

The Del Ríos were about to move to an apartment in the exclusive Chateau building in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Núñez and they planned to continue there with the now-detained employee. (FW)

In addition to being a retired lawyer, Del Río had a brief stint in the Argentine Federal Police (PFA), had a business relationship with a private security company and owned parking lots in the city of Buenos Aires.
