The Kenton dynasty continues to pull forward. Now, Freddy K, the only eldest son of merengue singer Freddy Kenton, makes his debut as a salsero, with the single “Being with you”, which he defined as a romantic and unique salsa.
The young man began his music career in Chicago, IL. Where he performed on stages around the state and the Midwest.
Freddy K explained that, although merengue runs through his veins, he decided to venture into salsa to impose a different stamp on the family that saw him born and grow up.
“I am already working on the album The Protoge, made up of a fusion of tropical styles and rhythms made up of 9 salsa songs and a bolero, produced by the masters Isidro Infante, Nino Segarra and Richard Marcell. The first single would be ‘Being with you’, which I am already promoting”, he advanced.
In a press release, the singer-songwriter with a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother, stressed that most of the songs on his next album are original and written by his hands.
Freddy K is in the Dominican Republic formally presenting his project to the press and the general public, hand in hand with artistic promoter Ariel Ortiz.
“I am happy because I have the opportunity to perform in my two countries (RD and PR) for the first time. I wanted to start my media tour in my two countries that I adore and appreciate so much”, predicted Freddy K, who also identified himself as a tropical singer and “good composer”.
Freddy K owns his own record label, FK Entertainment, through which he pursues Dominican and Puerto Rican talent in order to give them the opportunity to grow artistically.
