Santo Domingo.- Police officers, assigned to the Specialized Directorate for Attention to Women and Domestic Violence, captured an alleged evangelical pastor who had been wanted since last year for allegedly sexually abusing a minor under 12 years of age, taking advantage of the scene of the church “Cruzada Evangélica », located in the Villa María sector of the National District.
This is José Luis Santana Vidal, 52 years old, captured in the Sabana Loss sector, Santo Domingo Norte, due to arrest warrant number 0308-July 2021, dated July 30, issued by a competent court of the National District.
The first actions of the authorities occurred after receiving a formal complaint through the Life Line, being the minor, whose identity is reserved, represented by relatives.

According to the complaint, the relatives of the minor traveled abroad and when the procedure with their youngest daughter became complicated, they entrusted their temporary care to the pastor and his wife.
The Police reported that the detainee will be taken to the Comprehensive Care Unit for Victims of Gender Violence, Domestic Violence and Sexual Crimes of the National District, for the corresponding purposes.
