Surrounded by family and friends, Don Ramón Samudio celebrated his 79th birthday this Sunday, enjoying a pleasant meeting after having to face hard times after the amputation of both legs.
Today was a special day for the Samudio family since Don Ramón turned 79 years old, being a cause for celebration in his home located in the Tablada Nueva neighborhood of Asunción.
Natalia Samudio, daughter of Don Ramón, told C9N that after getting together with the brothers and other relatives they decided to organize the birthday of the “papá guasu” of the house, who recently went through very hard times after his amputation.
With mariachi included and a great lunch, the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives, had the opportunity to share a treat for Don Ramón’s birthday. “He was very moved, that emotion and joy was reflected in his face and that was what made us the most happy,” he said.
The woman admitted that there are times when he doesn’t feel like going out and doesn’t want to talk to anyone, so they have to deal with their mood swings that became more frequent after what happened weeks ago at IPS.
During the interview, he revealed that when he is bathed he begins to cry, thus evidencing the pain he feels after losing both legs and not being able to manage on his own.
Regarding the case at the judicial level, he confirmed that this lawsuit against the Social Security Institute is still standing and they will not lower their arms in the face of what they consider medical negligence. “We are not stopping, we are not going to leave him helpless, this fight continues.”
Natalia announced that for next Sunday, September 4, they will organize a group to pay for the construction costs of a special bathroom for her father, which must be adapted to his new requirements.
