Between Saturday night and Sunday morning three people died in traffic accidents recorded in Montevideo.
The first of these occurred on Saturday night in the neighborhood Spanish Village. As reported by Telemundo, a police mobile that was going to answer a call with a siren on along José Serrato street collided with a car in which a 62-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man were traveling, near the intersection with José Pedro Varela Avenue.
The woman died at the scene and the man was seriously injured.
Another accident was also recorded on Saturday night at the height of Aparicio Saravia and Jose Iraolareported Underlined.
Police were alerted that a van hit a pedestrian and that the driver then left the scene. When the police arrived at the scene, a medical emergency staff was already working that confirmed the death of a 60-year-old woman. Police are working to find the driver of the vehicle.
The third fatal accident occurred around 06:00 this Sunday in the Cordon neighborhood of Montevideo.
A bus that was circulating with passengers on Paysandú street turned in the direction of Fernández Crespo and hit a woman. Immediately a mobile emergency arrived at the place that confirmed the death of the victim, reported Telemundo.
