The non-alcoholic beverage industry in the country it generates more than 38,000 direct and indirect jobs, contributes more than RD$2,023 million to the prosecutor and is a reference in good practices.
The information was provided by Association of Non-Alcoholic Beverage Industries of the Dominican Republic (Asibenas) in the forum “Non-Alcoholic Beverages Sector (BNA) of the DR: a 360 vision on the impact of good practices in the development of the country”, in which the proactive actions that it implements in the axes of social, economic and environmental.

The companies that make up Asibenas are: the Coca-Cola System, which is made up of the Coca-Cola Company and its bottling partner in the country, Bepensa Dominicana; the Dominican National Brewery (CND), PepsiCo, Induveca, Corripio Distributor, Vegan Brewery, San Miguel Industries, Eastern Citrus Consortium, Mejía Arcalá and Planeta Azul.

Among the initiatives of social and economic impact implemented as best practices by companies in the industry are the actions carried out by CND through the BEES platform, which allows colmaderos to place their orders from any mobile device.
Coca-Cola and its local bottler Bepensa Dominicana execute, in alliance with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, the training program “Emprendamos Juntos”. This initiative invites 10,000 retailers this year to join to achieve the growth of their businesses.
While Industrias San Miguel in Santiago Rodríguez has carried out actions of corporate social responsibility and in favor of culture in communities of that demarcation.
