With the presence of the Mayor of Río Negro, Omar Lafluf, and the main authorities of the PIT-CNT, the Union Housing Program and the CET-PVS Technical Institute, the draw for 35 keys of the Coviemu FB Cooperative was held this Sunday in Fray Bentos PVS.
It is a cooperative of municipal workers who built their homes through the Union Housing Program with a loan from the MVOT and which were built with the non-traditional M2 (Emmedue) system. It has 13 houses with two bedrooms, 17 with three bedrooms and five with four bedrooms.
The cooperative, which began its history in 2012 but was founded on May 26, 2014, is made up of 35 municipal families from the Río Negro district. Months later, on October 18, 2014, the contract was signed with CET-PVS; On May 7, 2015, the land reservation ticket was ready with the Municipality of Río Negro. The following year, on August 31, 2016, the first Certificate of Regularity presented to the Ministry of Housing was approved.
Between 2020 and 2021, the cooperative was hit hard by the pandemic but, in any case, Milessi pointed out that they continued to work with a lot of commitment and concern, taking all the measures indicated by the Ministry of Public Health.
This month marks the 25th month of work and 96% of the projected work was reached, setting the draw date for Sunday the 28th, “where joy and emotion were in the air,” concluded the cooperative member.
The Mayor of Río Negro, Omar Lafluf, said after the draw: “The Ministry of Housing is the one that provides the credit; the Municipality bought 16 hectares of land and now we have just acquired 5,000 thousand square meters more. It is a joy for the combination of efforts. Also for the CAIF of Mato Grosso that is done here for the benefit of the entire neighborhood”. And he stated: “Housing is fundamental; there is no way to form a society if you don’t have a home”.
