Abinader urges “they fall behind”

President Luis Abinader greets supporters yesterday in San Cristóbal.

President Louis Abinader responded yesterday to the political opposition that criticizes the alleged lack of construction works, saying that those who want to see the execution of the government in that sense “let us fall behind.”

The People’s Force and the Dominican Liberation Party, especially the former led by former President Leonel Fernández, insist that the government has no works to present in its two years in office, so in their opinion “it has burned in that matter”.

“Many people say: And where is the government going to get to do these works? Well, whoever wants to see the government’s works, let us fall behind,” said the head of state, after inaugurating the Municipal Palace of Quita Sueño, Haina, San Cristóbal.

He announced that for next year the most ambitious plan, perhaps never seen in the country, of asphalt and construction of sidewalks and curbing at the national level will be executed.

“In truth, in the year 2022, with the advances that many areas have had in the Dominican Republic, you go to a street, and that does not have a water pipe, or sidewalks or containers, is unacceptable and is the first public investment that should be done”, explained the ruler in San Cristóbal.

He assured that the execution of these works has a positive effect on the residents of those places, since in one way or another they make efforts to improve “their little houses”, at the same time that he promised to carry out this type of work in Quita Sueño, the which were demanded by the locals.
