The exhibition “An ardent heart: life and legacy of D. Pedro I” can be visited until the beginning of September, at Palácio do Itamaraty, in Brasília. public see the heart of Dom Pedro I, which is preserved in a glass capsule.
Borrowed by the Portuguese government to be displayed during the celebrations, the organ of the first Brazilian emperor was brought from Portugal aboard a Brazilian Air Force (FAB) executive jet and arrived in Brasília on Monday (22).
At Itamaraty, the organ is on display in the Sala Santiago Dantas, which is heated to serve as an exhibition and crypt.
During the week, the place is open to scheduled visits by students from schools in the Federal District. Today (28), Saturday (3 September) and Sunday (4 September), visitation is open to the general public.
