The renewal process of the Citizen Power will begin in the second period of ordinary sessions 2022 of the National Assembly (AN), as reported by the vice president of the Judicial Nominations Committee, José Gregorio Correa.
The parliamentarian expressed that the process will have dialogue, consensus and understanding as its fundamental premise, since Parliament, in its diversity of criteria, will be providing a better service to the nation.
Regarding the management balance of the committee during the first period of ordinary sessions of 2022, Correa stressed that one of the most fruitful works that has been done for the history of Venezuela and of greater constitutionality for the Republic, has been the one developed by this instance parliamentary
He recalled that the Plenary Chamber appointed the Preliminary Commission of the Judicial Nominations Committee on January 20, then the members from civil society were chosen.
On April 26, the AN appointed and swore in the 20 magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), the General Inspector of Courts, Gladys Requena, and the director of the National School of the Judiciary, Guillermo Blanco.
On July 26, after the process established for this purpose and as a result of the work of the Judicial Nominations Committee, the AN appointed the new head of the General Public Defender, Daniel Augusto Romero Ramírez Herrera, the National Assembly reported on its website.
