The Electoral Justice received at least 28,000 candidacy registrations for the October elections. Of the total, 16,507 are running for state deputy and 592 for district deputy. The region with the highest number of candidates for state deputies is the Southeast, with 5,582. In second place, the Northeast appears, with 4,186, followed by the South Region, with 2,326, the North, with 2,909 and the Midwest, with 1,504.
According to data from the TSE updated until last Wednesday (24), 12 applications for the Presidency and 12 for the Vice-Presidency were received; 223 for governor, 236 for senator, 10,456 for federal deputy, and 592 for district deputy.
The campaign started on the 16th and runs until October 1st, the day before the first round. According to the electoral legislation, candidates are authorized to take walks, make motorcades with a sound car and distribute campaign material until 10 pm.

North
In the North of the country, 2,909 people are vying for a state deputy seat. In Pará, 638 people compete for 41 vacancies. In Amazonas, there are 430 candidates for 24 vacancies. In Amapá, there are 358 vying for 24 vacancies. In Rondônia there are 417; in Roraima, 402; and in Tocantins there are 310 vying for 24 vacancies in each state.

North East
In the Northeast of the country, 4,186 people are vying for a state deputy seat in the nine states. Bahia is the state with the largest number of candidates in the region: 900 for 63 vacancies. In second place with the largest number of candidates is Pernambuco, with 598 for 49 vacancies. Then come Ceará, with 559 candidates for 46 vacancies, and Maranhão, with 549 for 42 vacancies. In Paraíba, there are 464 people competing for 36 vacancies and, in Sergipe, there are 319 for 24 vacancies. The states with the lowest number of candidates are Rio Grande do Norte (315 for 24 vacancies), Alagoas (274 for 27 vacancies) and Piauí (208 for 30 vacancies).

Midwest
In the Midwest, 592 people are vying for a district deputy seat and 1,504 are vying for a state deputy seat in three states. Goiás is the state with the largest number of candidates in the region: 791 for 41 vacancies. In second place, with the largest number of candidates, is the Federal District, with 592 candidates for 24 vacancies. In Mato Grosso, there are 317 people vying for 24 vacancies and, in Mato Grosso do Sul, there are 396 people for 24 vacancies.

Southeast
In the Southeast, 5,582 people are vying for a state deputy seat in the four states. São Paulo is the state with the largest number of candidates in the region: 2,040 vying for 94 vacancies. Then comes Rio de Janeiro, with 1,621 for 70 vacancies, and Minas Gerais, with 1,398 for 77 vacancies. Lastly, there is Espírito Santo, with 523 people vying for ten vacancies.

South
In the South, 2,326 people are vying for a state deputy seat in the three federative units. Paraná leads the list with 894 candidates for 54 vacancies. In second place is Rio Grande do Sul with 823 candidates for 55 vacancies and, lastly, Santa Catarina, with 609 for 40 vacancies.
