Every time a Colombian travels by land, regardless of their destination, they must include the value of tolls in their budget, however, For some destinations there are quite a few charges, which generates complaints from citizens, given that the state of the roads sometimes does not merit what must be paid.

In Colombia there are about 180 tolls. Between National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) and the National Institute of Roads (Invías) have 147 tolls, while 27 they are from departmental, district and municipal administrations.

Cundinamarca, Antioquia, Santander, Valle del Cauca, Meta and Cesar the departments that have the most
According to the ANI, it currently has 113 tolls under its administration throughout the country. Cundinamarca is the department with the most managed tolls from this agency with 22, followed by far by Antioquia with 12 and Caldas, Córdoba, Meta and Valle del Cauca. with eight each.
Cundinamarca, the department with the most ANI tolls, also has several stations that are among the most expensive for private vehicles. In the corridor between El Sisga (Cundinamarca) and Aguaclara (Casanare), the Machetá toll is priced at $13,900, while the El Korán toll booth, located in Puerto Salgar, is priced at $13,500.

The most expensive tolls
In the case of the tolls administered by the ANI, these increase their costs due to the level of progress and the contractual conditions and, in turn, are governed by particular conditions.
Among the increases that most stood out at the beginning of the year by the agency, are the Boqueron I and II, Naranjal and Pipiral tolls, which are located on the Bogotá-Villavicencio highway.
According to the agency and the Andean Road Concessionaire (Coviandina), at the Boqueron I and II stations, according to the increase, a private vehicle (category I) will pay $14,300, a two-axle bus or truck (category II) will have to pay $42,600, while four-axle passenger or cargo vehicles (category III) will have to pay $21,400. Five-axle (category IV) and six-axle (category V) freight vehicles will pay $56,400 and $63,700, respectively.

Further on, at the Naranjal point, category I vehicles must pay $12,200; category two, will pay $32,000; category III, will pay $24,100; category IV, will pay $47,400; and, finally, category V vehicles will pay $55,200.
In the case of Invías, the most expensive tolls for private or category I vehicles for this year are: the Carimagua toll, Córdoba ($13,400); Cocorna and Puerto Triunfo, Antioquia ($13,500); Cerritos II, Risaralda ($13,400); and Zambito, La Gómez and Aguas Negras, Santander ($11,700).
