La Hora journalist receives a threat after publication of the death of Naomi Arcentales

The social media account the threat comes from was created in September 2021 and has 76 followers.

Journalist Diego Puente from the newspaper THE TIME received a threat Saturday night December 25, 2021, after a publication he made about the death of Naomi Arcentales. The Da Gruá account, created in September 2021 and with 76 followers, issued the comment in which it warns: “Your time is approaching.”

“Your work as a journalist is super stained with innocent blood. You never did research. Just as Izquierdo ended up sentenced by him irrational mob and the ideological 1 / 2’s, after convicting without investigating, as a prosecutor, gender cases, your time is approaching”The user wrote at 8:46 PM.

This comment was in response to the publication that the communicator had made in the morning about the death of Naomi Arcentales. “I am sure that in the meetings tonight they will talk about the death of Naomi Arcentales. I hope they do not blame him for anything, that they condemn the violence and that show solidarity with the family. I hope that men reflect and, above all, I hope we change “said the communicator on his Twitter account.

The threat also refers to a previous publication made by La Hora in its digital format entitled: Prosecutor Izquierdo investigated cases of femicide in Manabí and the one that includes the work of Juan Carlos Izquierdo in processes that began for gender violence in two cities of the Manabi province.
