The Electoral Justice received at least 28,000 candidacy registrations for the October elections. Of the total, 10,456 are vying for one of the 513 seats for federal deputy. The region with the highest number of candidates is the Southeast with 3,877. In second place, the Northeast appears, with 2,939, followed by the South Region, with 1,478, the North, with 1,251 and the Midwest, with 911.
According to data from the TSE updated until last Wednesday (24), 12 applications for the Presidency and 12 for the Vice-Presidency were received; 223 for governor, 236 for senator, 10,456 for federal deputy, 16,507 for state deputy and 592 for district deputy.
The campaign started on the 16th and runs until October 1st, the day before the first round. According to the electoral legislation, candidates are authorized to take walks, make motorcades with a sound car and distribute campaign material until 10 pm.

North
In the North of the country, 1,251 people are vying for a seat as a federal deputy. Pará is the state with the largest number of candidates in the region: 313, vying for 17 seats. Following comes the Amazonas with 166 candidates vying for eight vacancies. Following are Roraima (164 for eight places), Rondônia (163 for eight places), Tocantins (159 for eight places), Amapá (148 for eight places) and Acre (138 for eight places).

North East
In the Northeast of the country, 2,939 people are vying for a seat as a federal deputy in the nine states. Bahia is the state with the largest number of candidates in the region: 763 for 39 vacancies. In second place, with the largest number of candidates, is Pernambuco, with 464 for 25 vacancies. Next comes Ceará, with 410 candidates for 22 vacancies and Maranhão, with 360 for 18 vacancies. In Paraíba, there are 242 people competing for 12 vacancies. The states with the lowest number of candidates are Rio Grande do Norte (184 for eight vacancies), Alagoas (178 for nine vacancies), Piauí (173 for ten vacancies) and Sergipe (165 for eight vacancies).

Midwest
In the Midwest of the country, 911 people are vying for a seat as a federal deputy in the four states. Goiás is the state with the largest number of candidates in the region: 385 for 17 vacancies. In second place, with the largest number of candidates, is the Federal District, with 206 for eight vacancies. In the last are, tied, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, both with 160 people claiming one of the eight seats for federal deputy in each state.

Southeast
In the Southeast, 3,877 people are vying for a seat as a federal deputy in the four states. São Paulo is the state with the largest number of candidates in the region: 1,522 for 70 vacancies. In second place is Minas Gerais, with 1,092 for 53 vacancies, followed by Rio de Janeiro, with 1,068 for 46 vacancies, and Espírito Santo, with 195 for 10 vacancies.

South
In the South, 1,478 people are vying for a seat as a federal deputy in the three states. Paraná leads the list with 631, for 30 vacancies. In second place is Rio Grande do Sul, with 540 for 31 vacancies and, lastly, Santa Catarina, with 307 for 16 vacancies.
