The Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR) found no irregularities in the hiring carried out by the Ministry General Secretariat of Government (Segegob) -portfolio led by the minister Camila Vallejo– Within the framework of the Chile Vota Informado campaign.
The Comptroller’s investigation was requested by the members of the Republican Party deputies’ caucus Jose Carlos Meza, Mauricio Ojeda, Christian Araya Y Benjamin Moreno. The legislators denounced irregularities in the acquisition of advertising services, within the framework of the aforementioned campaign.
Regarding the tender ID No. 876–fifteen–LQ22, for “Creative concept and audiovisual production for the constitutional plebiscite campaign 2022”, the CGR indicated that “No I know warned breaches to the aforementioned Law No. 19,886 and to decree No. 250, of 2004, of the Ministry Treasury that approves the regulations of that legal body”.
The Comptroller’s Office reached the same conclusion regarding the tender “Media Plan for the 2022 Constitutional Plebiscite Campaign.”
That yes, in both cases the CGR indicated that “the contracted services are in execution for which said services will be validated in the second stage of this Special Investigation.”
“It should be specified that, as of August 16, 2022, no payments had been made to the provider for this service, a matter that will also be examined in the second phase of this review,” they added, regarding the two cases mentioned. .
Copies of the new Constitution
About the tender of “Acquisition of books” -referring to the acquisition of copies of the proposed new Constitution-, the Comptroller indicated that “there are no observations to make” regarding the “bankruptcy process”
The tender includes the printing of 336,400 texts. As of August 16, the vendor has delivered 310,392 copies.
Meanwhile, regarding the distribution of copies of the proposed new Constitution, they indicated that the Segegob has a “Instructions for delivery and registration: Proposals for New Constitution”. However, they warned that the document “It lacks an administrative act that approves it, so the Segegob must issue, as soon as possible, the respective resolution that formalizes it.
