Government of Minas opens public consultation on highway concession

When asked about the reliability of electronic voting machines, Tebet evaluated that democratic institutions are firm and Brazil will have the results of the polls obeyed.Presidential candidate Simone Tebet says polls are reliable

“We will respect the results of the polls. Regarding the polls, I myself already had doubts about it, but seven years have passed, the current president was elected with the ballot box, we are convinced that the ballot boxes are not connected to the internet, there is no possibility of a hacker log in. I trust the polls, the results”.

Another topic addressed by the candidate was the defense of the 10-year term for ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF). In addition, Simone Tebet also considers it important to remove the role of criminal court from the Supreme Court.

When talking about agribusiness and the environment, the presidential candidate spoke about the replacement of “or” by “and”. “It is not the environment or agribusiness. who is the only one who is putting food on the Brazilian table. We have land grabbers and illegal miners, but they do not represent agribusiness, they are bandits. This is a minority and needs to be fought. In my government, there is zero illegal deforestation, in any biome. I defend the agro, my family is from the agro, but I am against illegally felling a single tree”, he said.

Also during the sabbath, the candidate defended equal pay for men and women. “It is inconceivable to say that because you are a woman you will receive 20% less. If it’s a black woman, up to 40% less. This makes me outraged. As president, the first request is for the approval of this project. If you raise women’s wages, the economy wins.”

About the free election time on radio and television that starts tomorrow for the presidential candidates, Simone Tebet said that she could become known in the country and gain support. “I believe that from the moment we become known in the face of such a polarized campaign, between the vote for the least worst and someone who talks about hope, I’m sure voters will rethink their vote. If we get to the second round, we win the elections,” she said. Tonight, the emedebista will be the candidate interviewed by National Journal.
