The Ministry of Public Function disqualified for monopolistic practices and irregularities in hiring for a period of seven years five of the main providers in the health sector.

The agency published this Thursday in the Official Journal of the Federation the sanctions imposed on Valtrum, Centrum Promotora Internacional, Falcón Instruments and Equipment and Impromed. While on Wednesday he published a circular with the sanction imposed on Medical Selections.

The Internal Control Body at Issste, the SFP body responsible for the sanctioning process, indicated that fines were imposed on the companies for an amount that it did not specify and that corresponds to irregularities detected between 2012 and 2018, a period in which this group of suppliers obtained public contracts for more than 3 billion pesos.

According to the SFP, the sanctions were imposed because the companies executed with one or more providers actions that imply, by object or effect, obtaining an undue advantage in public procurementas well as by perform acts or omissions to evade rules or requirements established in public procurement.

Information from the quieesquien.wiki portal indicates that between 2008 and 2017, only Centrum Promotora Internacional obtained contracts with instances such as Issste and IMSS for 2.7 billion pesos with cost overruns of up to 120 percent in agreed products and services.
