Celsa Valenzuela (23) was stabbed 10 times, her neck was cut and her hands were sliced, when she tried to defend herself. The aggressor, her ex-partner Brian Romero, fell into the desperate trap that the woman applied to save her life: pretending that she was dead.
Just there – he relates – his monstrous action ceased, after which he left the girl’s house (city of Capiatá) and declined to use the revolver that he also had with him.
“I played dead so he wouldn’t kill me, that’s the only reason he didn’t kill me. Bleeding a lot I went out to look for help, I knocked on 4 doors, they didn’t answer me. She would make me faint and walk again. Luckily I ran into a man who took pity on me, lent me his cell phone and I got help. When the police arrived I could no longer speak (because of the fierce wound on my neck), in a hurry I wrote his name (Brian Romero) in case I died so that it would be known who it was”, Celsa tells a part of his hell to the journalist Rolando Rodi (Channel 9).
Her attacker should not, in theory and by court order, approach her, since she was under house arrest for previously viciously assaulting her, in addition to having orders not to approach her victim. But this was not an impediment to perpetrate the last (until now) attack on her.
“We were no longer together, he had to keep house arrest. And from there he went to attack me at my house, that night I left school… I went to take a shower. I heard a noise outside and went outside to look. I saw that the door was open, I locked it again, then I just realized that he was there, because he had a copy of the key. I see that he points the firearm at me and he tells me that if he pushed the door he was going to kill me”, recalls Celsa.
“There he pulled my hair and cut my neck, I ran to the bathroom, to cover up (the wound)… in the bathroom he stabbed me 10 times. In an interim he tried to cut her off and destroyed my hand… I had to play dead because she came to shoot me in the head, I threw myself face down on the ground. He turned on the shower, started washing his hands. The person who took him is an accomplice, because he received a call and told him that he had already done what he had to do, so that he could be found again… And I played dead, that’s why he left me and left. Before he left me he left and he kicked me, to see if he would move me. I waited 15 minutes after he left, and I went out to ask for help, ”says the young woman, who saved her life despite the brutality of the man, who is only now imprisoned, in jail.
Celsa was discharged after a few days of hospitalization. She still fears for her life, because justice has not yet closed the case, before which an exemplary conviction is expected.
