Juan Carlos Huarachi, executive secretary of the Central Obrera Boliviana (COB), affirmed this Friday that they will not allow the “fascist right” to cause another supposed “coup d’état” in the country.
During a public act, for the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Trade Union Federation of Oil Workers of Bolivia (FSTPB), in La Paz, the leader highlighted the support that the president received the day beforewith the massive mobilization that was concentrated in the Plaza San Francisco.
“We salute this massive turnout showing their support for the president (Luis Arce Catacora) and the vice president (David Choquehuanca), and, of course, also saying to that fascist right, after these destabilization attempts, that the workers, we workers, oil workers are not going to allow one more coup d’état in the country“, said.
Yesterday the MAS and its social organizations staged marches and a kind of town hall at the seat of government, where the head of state challenged the opposition and accused attempts to wear down after the demonstrations from different regions demanding that the census be carried out in 2023.
“Today we can say with great pride that we are part of this process (of change), we are part of this economic and productive reconstruction of the country”, limited the representative of the workers.
Huarachi stated that, after the mobilization, now “we have to continue deepening the process of change”, to consolidate the “industrialization” of natural resources, for which he demanded to continue “nationalizing” companies in favor of Bolivians.
