A 33-year-old woman died in a house in the Berisso district of Buenos Aires after receiving a shock from an electric shower while she was about to bathe her 3-year-old daughter, who was unharmed, police and judicial sources reported.
The event, which became known this Friday, occurred on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in a house located on Calle 10, between 133 and 134, in that municipality in the southern area of Buenos Aires.
According to the sources, the victim had bathed and was about to bathe her 3-year-old daughter, when she received a shock from a water heater type device with an electric shower, and as a consequence, she suffered serious bodily injuries, while the minor was unharmed
From Civil Defense of Berisso informed Télam this Friday that the neighbors of the neighborhood were alerted by the screams of the girl who was at the scene when the discharge occurred, so they called 911.
A few minutes later, police officers from the Berisso Fourth Police Station arrived at the home together with doctors from the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME) and Civil Defense personnel.
The investigators explained that, upon arrival, the woman was wet, without vital signs and with the cables of “the electric shower in her hands”, so they understand that it was “a bad and precarious electrical installation, added to carelessness on the part of the victim”.
Despite efforts, health professionals were unable to save his life and confirmed his death.
Meanwhile, when checking the girl, they realized that her body was not wet and that she was in good health, so it is assumed that the minor had not yet entered the shower.
After confirming the death of the woman, the troops summoned the personnel of the Scientific Police to carry out the corresponding skills and the body was transferred to the morgue for the autopsy.
The cause was classified as “investigation of causes of death” and was left in charge of UFI No. 11 of the Judicial Department of La Plata, in charge of Álvaro Garganta.
