This Thursday, the Presidency of the Republic issued the decree by which it appointed Belizza Janet Ruiz as Vice Minister of Energy. Ruiz is an electrical engineer from the National University and has a doctorate and three post-doctorates related to the electrical sector.

The last one that made the now was in the Energy Research Center of the National Autonomous University of Mexico focused on energy and environment.
This is the first of three appointments to the vice ministry that the government will have to make.
Ruiz previously served as Professor at the National University of Manizales in the undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.

Within the deputy minister’s agenda of priorities will be the policy aimed at accelerate the country’s energy transition towards renewable sourcesas well as unblock processes related to transmission lines, so that projects in the north of the country can enter the System.
