The leader of the Arauco Malleco Coordinator (CAM), Hector Llaitularrived this Thursday night -before 9:00 p.m.- at the Biobío Penitentiary Compliance Center to comply with the precautionary measure of preventive detention, issued by the Temuco Guarantee Court.
Llaitul was formalized for violations of the State Security Law, violent usurpation, armed attacks against authority and simple theft.

The CAM leader was transferred by land from the Temuco Investigative Police (PDI) headquarters – from where he left after 6:00 p.m. – to the Biobío Penitentiary Compliance Center.
The operation was guarded by a caravan made up of Gendarmerie and Police personnel. A police helicopter was even involved.
Llaitul must serve the precautionary preventive detention for 30 days, a period set by the court for the end of the investigation of the case.
Let us remember that the arrest of Llaitul -which occurred on Wednesday- took place within the framework of an investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office that began in 2020, after the Government of Sebastian Pinera file a complaint under the State Security Law (LSE).
