Arequipa. The candidate for mayor of the district of Miraflores Erika Ramos denounced that flyers appeared last Wednesday with macho messages against him. These were left on various streets.
The applicant denounced that behind these flyers would be other rivals of hers. Although she did not want to mention specific names, due to the nature of the messages, she believes that it would be a man.
“Erika Ramos, dedicate yourself to doing what you do best (…) Miraflores does not want a mayorwants a mayor”, “Erika Candy Ramos, drunk with power and profit, pretends to be mayor”, were some of the messages.
“We don’t want a dirty war. They are attacking us because they have seen that we are advancing. If a candidate wants to confront us, let him do it, but in debate. Let’s discuss our proposals. I have two children and an older adult mother, these messages also affect them, “he told La República.
The applicant also stated that she tried to report the facts to the National Police of Peru, but they told him that he should accuse someone directly and he has no evidence. He added that he will resort to the Special Electoral Jury (JEE) of Arequipa to denounce this attack, since it goes against the ethical pact that the political parties and movements that participate in these elections signed last Tuesday.
