President Gustavo Petro has received harsh criticism from some political sectors of the country, for the announcement of suspend the extraditions of drug traffickers who agree to collaborate and negotiate with the State Colombian.
The former president Andrés Pastrana, who has been one of the staunchest opponents of Petro, He spoke on this issue that could be framed in the new strategy that the Government is implementing in the fight against drugs.

According to Pastrana, the president is working to benefit these criminals They have done so much damage to the country.
“Petro and his government are folded to the interests of drug trafficking. A national tragedy that constitutes an insult to the victims and stigmatizes Colombia, the first global producer of cocaine in the world,” Pastrana said.
In previous days, the former president had accused President Petro of having the intention of not eradicating coca crops and granting legal benefits to those who promote this business.
“Petro will not eradicate coca, it will legalize cocaine and amnesty drug traffickers. That the Conservative Party is a partner of crime in this purpose, is treason against the country, “he said.
Pastrana has also been very critical of the tax reform presented by the Minister of Finance, José Antonio Ocampo, before Congress, saying that the initiative hits hard the pocket of Colombians.

“The Conservative Party must not vote for an anachronistic, regressive and discouraging tax reform that hits the pockets and pensions of Colombians, and goes against job creation and economic growth,” he said.
