A large fire caused alarm to the residents of the Samaria III neighborhood, located behind the El Quior market, in the Plan Tres Mil areaa place from where a dense black smoke could be observed and explosions could be heard, since barrels of fuel were being stocked in the house.
The fire broke out around noon on Thursday.and to prevent the fire from spreading, the neighbors called the fire department. “Explosions are heard, we need help to avoid a catastrophe,” said a neighbor who circulated an audio on social networks.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and managed to control the fire. A vehicle parked in the yard was consumed by flames, as was the house. Also, it was learned that a man who was trying to salvage his belongings was left with burns on his feet.
The homeowner told police firefighters that the collected barrels were used for the fuel tankgasoline and diesel, and fortunately as many cylinders were saved.
The fire was controlled in time, so it did not spread to other homes. Past noon, the firefighters continued with the cooling tasks. In addition, they investigate the causes that originated the fire.
Santos Nina, a resident of the place, indicated that they were unaware that there was fuel in turriles in the building, so they will make the requirements to the authorities to verify this situation.
“We think it was a deposit clandestine, we will wait for the report of firefighters, because the fire could have been worse,” said the neighbor.
