The National Council of the Justicialist Party released a document in which it expressed its “solidarity” with the vice president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchnerwithin the framework of the prosecutor’s request for condemnation in the trial of the alleged direction of public works in Santa Cruz, and called on all Peronists to “stay united, organized, mobilized and on permanent alert.”

This was stated in a document released at the end of a meeting held at the party headquarters at 130 Matheu Street, in the city of Buenos Aires, in which President Alberto Fernández, head of the party at the national level, participated virtually. .

In the text, the PJ called to “defend the validity of a true democracy and the rights conquered, without persecution of the most important leader of the Argentine people”.

Along these lines, it was indicated that “the judicial apparatus is being used” to give it an appearance of legality and thus achieve “delegitimization of the political processes of dignity and defense of the peoples.”

They also denounced that the “lawfare mechanism used against the Vice President, as happened with other popular Latin American leaders such as Lula Da Silva in Brazil, Rafael Correa in Ecuador, Evo Morales in Bolivia, among others, involves the use of the judicial apparatus with the appearance of of legality to delegitimize the political processes of dignity, sovereignty and defense of the Peoples of the Great Homeland”.

“The rule of law is dangerously undermined by the systemic action of the royal powers, which unscrupulously mount legal cases to criminally prosecute those who represent and fight for popular interests, while guaranteeing impunity for those looters who have indebted the country,” they affirmed. .

Likewise, the PJ accused sectors of the Judiciary and the Public Prosecutor’s Office of having emerged as “protagonists of the media and judicial siege,” and this shows “the fear they have of a fearless woman who did not hesitate to defend her people.” “

Along these lines, they considered that there had been “gross violations of the constitutional rights and guarantees” of the vice president during the “rigged” judicial process.

“Our movement had to resist the fierce persecution against its leaders on more than one occasion”they pointed out.

Finally, they supported the words expressed by the vice president during her television statement in the National Senate on Tuesday: “This is not a trial against CFK; this is a trial against Peronism.”

The conclave was held with the presence of several leaders at the headquarters of the National Justicialist Party, after prosecutors Diego Luciani and Sergio Mola asked for a sentence of 12 years in prison and disqualification for life to hold public office for Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in the context of the oral and public trial for the alleged management of public works in Santa Cruz.

There, in addition, the call for a plenary session of the National Council of the PJ was resolved for next Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the same venue, according to the national deputy José Luis Gioja.

“The suggestion is that all the provincial parties do the same, that Peronism is in a state of alert and mobilization. Democracy and institutions are in danger because there is a gang of criminals who want to handle justice as they please,” he said. Gioja in statements to Télam after leaving the meeting.

Through the Zoom platform, in addition to the President, the head of the AFI, Agustín Rossi, and the Minister of the Interior, Eduardo “Wado” De Pedro, participated in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the PJ of Buenos Aires will carry out an “open town hall” in support of the vice president, while that space in the province of Buenos Aires will define actions in support of the former president and the Front of All (FdT) will march in the cities of Córdoba, Rosario and Santa Fe.

Meanwhile, militants from various social, political and student organizations maintained for the fourth consecutive day a vigil in front of the vice president’s home, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta, and assured that they will remain there at least until next Monday, when they will define the steps to follow.
