Despite the fact that a weeks ago it had been announced that the peak and plate measure would be in force this year-end in Bogotá, this Saturday the Ministry of Mobility announced that the restriction will be lifted due to the high number of vehicles that have left of the city in the last days.
“Between December 22 and 24, approximately 600,000 vehicles left the city, this makes us suppose that the mobility conditions in Bogotá during these days they will be more favorable, “said the Secretary of Mobility, Nicolás Estupiñan.
Until when does the peak and plate rise in Bogotá?
According to the District Administration, as is customary for some years, the peak and plate will rise from this Monday, December 27 until next Tuesday, January 11, 2022, “in order to facilitate the circulation of private vehicles in Bogotá during the end of the year festivities.”

However, it should be noted that the restriction will remain for taxis, four-passenger special service vehicles, not including the driver, and restrictions on the transport of cargo over 20 years on Saturdays.
