The aircraft was traveling from Shell to the Lorocachi parish, in Pastaza. Remains of the plane were seen by helicopters. Defense Minister went to the area.
The army Ecuadorian reported, through his Twitter account, that a plane Cessna 206 that was traveling on the morning of this December 24, 2021 between Shell and the parish Lorocachi-Shell, in the province of Pastaza, did not reach its destination.
The aircraft, with two crew aboard, transporting supplies to the military detachment of Lorocachi. By checking that the plane did not reach its destination, an air operation of search, product of which two helicopters of the Aviation of the army determined that the aircraft crashed about 10 kilometers before reaching Lorocachi.
For this reason, a combat team from the Jungle Brigade N. – 17 Pastaza was sent to the accident site to verify the state of the crew of the plane and carry out its rescue.
The Ministry of Defense published a tweet in which it announced that General Luis Hernández, Minister of Defense, addressed Pastaza to know the situation and verify search and rescue operations. (LAG)
