The Minister of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires, Nicolás Kreplak, assured today from Mar del Plata that “Argentina is one of the few countries in the world that has managed to maintain a wide range of vaccines in its vaccination campaign”, started on December 29, 2020.
“We continue with the health operation at the national level. We have enough drugs to immunize the entire Argentine populationincluding children between 6 months and 2 years, who were the last to be incorporated into the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus”, indicated the Buenos Aires minister during his speech at the First Congress of Labor Law that takes place in the coastal city.
In this sense, Kreplak asserted that “Thanks to the vaccination campaign national, hospitalizations and deaths from coronavirus in the country fell “although he acknowledged that, in recent weeks, “new infections have marked a significant increase” compared to previous months.
“Our successful Strategic Vaccination Plan It has allowed us to return to having a practically unrestricted life, as well as reactivating our economy and putting all our development potential to the maximum, which is what our country needs to grow,” the official emphasized.
At the same time, he insisted on the need to “reinforce inoculation schemes” with booster doses and recalled that “the vaccination campaign in the province it is still free, gratuitous and federal”.
“Regardless of their residence, people can go to our vaccination centers to receive the drugs. It is necessary that we continue to reinforce the guidelines, complete the schemes with the second, third and fourth doses, ”she stressed.
Buenos Aires Strategic Vaccination Plan
Regarding immunization rates, Kreplak reported that More than 42 million anti-coronavirus serums have been applied in the Province of Buenos Airesof which 16.5 million people received at least one dose.
For their part, around 15.6 million people from Buenos Aires have already completed the scheme, while 8.3 million received a booster dose and more than 2 million already have the fourth dose; this, according to data from the Health portfolio of the Province.
