The Supervising Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel) announced the telecommunications operator that averaged the highest mobile internet speed between May and November this year.
According to a nationwide analysis, the average download speed on 4G networks was 10.42Mbps (megabits per second). This average speed allows you to participate in video calls, access streaming video content, surf the web or connect to social networks from mobile phones.

The operating company with the best performance in this indicator was Entel, with an average speed of 11.3Mbps; while Bitel was the operator with the lowest performance with 6.81Mbps.
Likewise, the regions with the best performance in the indicator were Callao (11.49Mbps), Lima (11.2Mbps) and Ica (10.95Mbps); while the regions with the lowest performance were Pasco (9.1Mbps), Huancavelica (8.77 Mbps) and Loreto (7.15 Mbps).
According to the information analyzed, it was observed that the latency (indicator that analyzes whether online content is accessed with a greater or lesser delay) at the national level, was 104.04ms (milliseconds) for 4G networks in the period between May and November 2021 .
The operating company with the best performance in the indicator was Entel, with a latency of 78.24ms. In contrast, Claro was the operator with the lowest performance with 127.62ms, during the days between May and November 2021.

The regions with the best performance in the latency indicator were Callao (93.99ms), Lima (95.54ms) and Ica (98.26ms); while the regions with the lowest performance were Loreto (125.34ms), Madre De Dios (124.66ms) and Apurímac (122.42ms).
Meanwhile, the Mobile Internet Monitoring Panel warned that the rate of packet loss (a parameter whose poor performance may cause the interruption of a data session, or that we receive or send information with delays or incompleteness) nationwide was 2.24% in the analysis period, between May and November 2021.
The operator Claro was the operator with the best performance at the national level, with a packet loss of 1.73%. Instead, Bitel was the operator with the lowest performance with 3.1%. The regions with the best performance were Callao (1.29%), Tacna (1.33%) and Tumbes (1.36%); while, the regions with the lowest performance were Loreto (11.69%), Ancash (2.49%) and Ayacucho (2.48%).
