The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, ratified this Friday the arrest warrant and red alert against false members of the board of directors of the Petrochemical Monómeros de Venezuela, located in Colombia.
In a thread of messages published on his Twitter social network account, Saab recalled that on February 28, 2020, the Public Ministry (MP) requested arrest warrants and red alerts, against citizens accused of crimes of usurpation of functions, legitimation capital and criminal association.
Said request made by the First Terrorism Control Court was ratified on August 12, 2022, Saab specified.
“This investigation promoted by the Public Ministry remains active, identifying other participants in the transnational criminal plot,” the Prosecutor published.
The Monómeros company is a company owned and owned by Venezuelan capital, which was ceded to the Government of Colombia by the self-proclaimed president of Venezuela and in usurpation of functions Juan Guaidó, in January 2019.
The company was managed and looted by a directive created by former Colombian President Iván Duque, and the former deputy, thereby stripping the Venezuelan State of its assets in the neighboring country.
Last Tuesday, the Comptroller General of the Republic, Elvis Amoroso, announced that action will be taken in the Monómeros case after being illegally looted in a corruption plot led by Juan Guaidó and Julio Borges.
