The president of the Republic, Gabriel Boricreiterated his criticism of “part” of the right that has questioned the Electoral Service (Servel) accusing it of possible electoral fraud in the exit plebiscite on September 4.
It should be noted that sectors of the opposition have repeatedly questioned Servel, accusing the electoral pattern of including deceased persons.

This Thursday night, the President wrote on Twitter in defense of the electoral body. “Attempt by the right to delegitimize Servel to accuse fraud in case the result is not what they expect is from the manual of those who distrust democracy,” he wrote.

Comparison with Trump and Bolsonaro
During this Friday, the head of state again summoned the critics of Servel comparing his actions with that of the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaroand the former president of the United States, donald trump.
“There is a sector of the right that is following the traditional manual of those who do not trust, of those who do not believe in democracy, which is to question the scrutinizing bodies to try to question the results if they do not favor them,” Boric said in Thirdadding that “this is very typical, Bolsonaro is doing it in Brazil, Trump did it in the United States.”
Finally, he indicated that “as President of Chile I unrestrictedly endorse the Chilean electoral institutions, in particular Servel, as the Chilean government we are going to ensure that the results of the plebiscite on September 4 are enforced. I trust in the wisdom of the people of Chile”.
