Armin Ludwing Dorgathen Tapia was sworn in on Thursday morning as interim president of the state-owned company Yacimientos Petrolifos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB).
“We managed to create an aggressive investigation plan. This year saw the start of an execution, a launch of several exploratory projects already in drilling. 2022 is going to be a year where we are going to start seeing the results of this exploratory plan and we are going to execute more aggressively all the projects that we are planning today, ”said Dorgathen during his first speech as head of YPFB.
The new YPFB official thanked the opportunity to lead the main company in the State and announced that the results of the exploration and drilling carried out are advanced.

Dorgathen was taken over by the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Franklin Molina, replacing Wilson Zelaya, who a few days ago announced that he will resign from office for health reasons, which prevented him from working at the seat of government.
The former president indicated that he suffers from hypertension and pulmonary involvement, which prevent him from carrying out his activities in the city of La Paz.
Although he had a recent pulmonary episode, he clarified that it is not fibrosis. He added that he works normally and that he will talk with the authorities about his health situation. “I think I should take care of myself,” he said.
