On the afternoon of Friday, August 19, the Judiciary evaluated the appeal filed by the legal defense of Yenifer Paredespresident’s sister-in-law peter castleto the preliminary arrest warrant against him for a period of ten days.
The appeals chamber is also scheduled, in the same session scheduled for 4 pm on Friday, to address the appeal that the mayor of the District Municipality of Anguía, José Nenil Medina, also presented in that same sense.
Both were intervened as part of an investigation for alleged irregularities in tenders in Anguía involving the brothers Anggi and Hugo Espino, who would have submitted to the figure of sincere confession.
Medina’s preliminary arrest expires on August 19, since he was intervened by the authorities on August 9.
In the case of Yenifer Paredes, her detention approved by the Judiciary for the same period of ten days will expire on August 20, since she turned herself in to the authorities one day after the search of the residence in the Government Palace.
