Prosecutor will request prison for Yenifer Paredes and friends
The preliminary investigation judge Raul Justiniano Romero will schedule a public hearing in order to hear the allegations of the Prosecutor’s Office and the defense of Yenifer Paredesmayor of Anguía (Nenil Medina) and the brothers Espino Lucana.
Upon completion of the 10-day preliminary detention period, prosecutor Hans Aguirre, of the Special Team of Prosecutors against Corruption of Power, will formalize the preliminary investigation against Paredes, for the crimes of influence peddling and money laundering, in a criminal organization.
The prosecutor will also include Mayor Anguía, José Nenil Medina Guerrero, and businessmen Hugo Yoni Espino and Angie Estefani Espino in the request for preventive detention. These three people, along with Yenifer Paredes, have been detained in a police station since August 9 and 10, respectively.
