In the last few hours, the ANEP authorities asked the Ministry of the Interior to evict the IPA and Teacher’s offices, both occupied by the respective student unions that demand a larger budget for education and question the government’s educational transformation project.

“We consider that the occupation measure is illegal and that it does not favor constructive dialogue based on democratic principles, based on a republican regime,” said the president of ANEP’s Education Training Council (CFE), Víctor Pizzichillo.

For its part, at the request of the Broad Front, the Chamber of Deputies voted for an intermediate quarter of an hour and a half to accompany the eviction of the two study centers that are occupied.

give guarantees

In this sense, the Frente Amplio deputy Ana Olivera said that the FA sees the situation with concern and therefore requested the fourth intermission while analyzing the Rendering of Accounts.

Olivera assured that the intention of the Frente Amplio parliamentarians is to be present in the occupied study premises to “give the best guarantees and that everything develops in the best way”.
