Although more than 62% of the authorized circuits have been scrutinized, Pereira leads the vote with 67.4% of the preferences, reported different media and sources from the Frente Amplio.

So far, Gonzalo Civila is second with 10.4% of the votes, while Ivonne Passada achieves 5.5%.

The internal elections of the Broad Front were held on December 5. In addition to being president, the Frente Amplio also elected the presidents of the 19 departments of the FA, the members of the plenary and the National Plenary. Some 130,000 people voted.

Backrests

Fernando Pereira (former president of the PIT-CNT) had the support of: the Communist Party, the Popular Participation Movement, Uruguay Assembly, Renovation Force, Platform, Christian Democratic Party, Artiguista Slope, New Space and El Abrazo.

Gonzalo Civila, (deputy of the Socialist Party) had the backing of the Socialist Party, La Amplia, Casa Grande, Party for the Victory of the People, Frente Amplio Integración Movement and Izquierda en Marcha.

Ivonne Passada, (former MPP senator) was presented as a candidate by the Gender Advisory Commission of the Frente Amplio de Maldonado.
