A Cicpc commission arrested Edwin Alfredo Martínez Pantoja (18) in Tumeremo (Bolívar), accused of murdering his father Alfredo Laureano Martínez Palomino (70).
This incident occurred in the Los Rieles sector, El Callao, where the father and son were drinking alcoholic beverages. In the middle of the drinks, an argument arose that led to the boy attacking his father with a machete, injuring him in the head and arms.
Relatives of Mr. Alfredo took him to the local hospital where he died.
Also in Bolívar, specifically in Ciudad Guayana, Cicpc officials captured Alberto Alcalá (51) and Christian Mena (37), allegedly responsible for the murder of Luis Beltrán García (56), who was stabbed and set on fire inside his house.
