Cuba reported 72 infections of the SARS-CoV-2 virus on Tuesday, according to the part you publish today the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP). Health authorities also reported that for 13 consecutive weeks the country has not recorded deaths from COVID-19.
The fatalities continue to total 8,529 since the first cases of the disease were reported, identified on the Island in March 2020. The lethality is 0.77%.

1998 samples were processed and, of the positive ones, 44 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases while 24 included the patients in whom the cause of the infection was not specified. Four infections were imported.
The highest figures come again from Holguín, which reported 25 infections; 13 of them correspond to the capital city and in 12 the cause was not clarified. According to health authorities, it is the territory with the highest incidence of positive cases: 271 in the last 14 days.
The rest of the provinces registered figures below ten, only the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality did not identify cases.
In total, 597 people remained hospitalized due to COVID-19; of these, 350 were confirmed active cases. The intensive care rooms closed with seven bedridden, five of them in serious condition.
By age ranges, infections predominate in those under 20 years of age, with 49 on the day. In addition, 14 corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years old, only two again to 40 to 59 years old and seven were over 60.
