Several drug bosses arrested for recent attacks

After the criminal actions committed last week by organized crime in various parts of the country, the arrests of those who participated continued. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported that six arrests were made, which include two or three bosses.

Yesterday morning, he ratified his disqualification of the position assumed by these gangs as propaganda actions that were combined with the magnification of the scope of these events by conservative sectors.

There is no doubt, extremes meet

It cannot be said that it was a concerted action, but extremes do touch. There are no elements to say that it was something concerted, but that both the criminal groups and the conservative bloc made propaganda, I have no doubt about that, it’s just a matter of seeing the media; yesterday (Monday) we saw them, to realizehe pointed.

The arrests, he explained, occurred in Los Mochis and Culiacán, Sinaloa (where no violent acts were recorded), and would be related to the attacks, the burning of vehicles and commercial establishments in Tijuana.

On the extradition of Rafael Caro Quintero – wanted by the United States government to try him for his probable participation in crimes related to drug trafficking and the murder of DEA agent Enrique kiki Camarena–, indicated that this process will be resolved by the Secretaries of the Interior (SG) and Foreign Relations (SRE), as well as the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR).

The Judicial will decide the extradition of Caro Quintero

Regarding the request for the extradition of Caro Quintero -captured a few weeks ago- and the anonymous statements of DEA agents who indicated that in the collaboration Do not trust in the Army, but in the Navy, the president replied: “These are no longer the times of (Felipe) Calderón, they are no longer the times of Fast and Furious –when Washington introduced weapons to Mexico to trace them, a strategy that did not work and that gave the criminal gangs an arsenal–, now there is cooperation, but our sovereignty is respected. And we have a lot of confidence in the Mexican armed forces, the Army and the Navy and we do not accept those comments, because they are a lack of respect for our country, our sovereignty.”

He said that Caro Quintero has promoted various amparos to avoid his extradition, and it will be the Judiciary and the FGR who define in this area; and in what corresponds to the Executive, the position will be established by the heads of the Interior, Adán Augusto López, and of the SRE, Marcelo Ebrard.

López Obrador considered that the declarations of elements of foreign agencies, in this case from the United States, that they only trust the Navy and therefore prefer to work with that corporation, represent a malicious interference.

He even challenged: If they have elements, evidence, that they do not act anonymously, that they show their faces, that they file complaints, that is not intelligence, that is espionage.
