Congress: Fujimorista Karina Beteta is appointed head of the Office of Citizen Participation

The former congresswoman fujimorista is appointed as head of the Office of Citizen Participation, which reports to the first vice president of Parliament, (People’s Force).

It is resolved to appoint Mrs. Karina Juliza Beteta Rubín in the position of trust as head of the Office of Citizen Participation, with the remuneration level, the obligations, the rights and benefits that are inherent to the position” is read in the document where his appointment is made official.

Beteta was part of the formation of the 2016-2021 Congress, which was dissolved by former President Martín Vizcarra in September 2019. On that occasion, the former parliamentarian was part of the Fuerza Popular bench, which had a total of 73 members.

As recalled, the former legislator has also been investigated for the alleged crime of money laundering.

The office, to which Beteta Rubín was recently appointed, is headed by Martha Moyano, who is part of the new Legislative Board of Directors. She is accompanied by the president of Congress, Lady Camones (Alliance for Progress); the second vice president, Digna Calle (Podemos Peru); and the third vice president, Alejandro Muñante (Popular Renewal).
