Vela asserted that “it is absolutely the opposite” and that the changes ordered by Patricia Benavides “are fully justified in ordering things that did not have a clear sense of order.”
“The case of the White Collars, of which I have not been a coordinator, but I can give a testimony because we have had to cross information (Case of White Collars and Lava Jato Case). We have been co-participants in all the difficulties that have existed during the development of that team’s activities,” the superior prosecutor told Canal N.

That is going to allow that there are not as many theories as investigators, because now it is being grouped based on what is a special team, which is what we do in the Lava Jato case,” Vela added.
They ask to investigate appointments of Patricia Benavides in the White Necks case
The congresswoman of the Magisterial Bloc Francis Paredes presented a motion to create a commission in Parliament to investigate the appointments of the public prosecutor of the Nation, Patricia Benavidezin the case of the White Necks of the Port.
According to the document, Benavides Vargas would have violated the organic law of the Public Ministry by appointing prosecutors without the authorization of the Board of Supreme Prosecutors.
