This is a fairly high figure compared to other Latin American countries, since in Colombia it is 27.5%; in Costa Rica and Panama 29%; in Mexico 37%; in Argentina 46.3% and in Peru 59.1%, according to data compiled by Alegra.com, an accounting, management and electronic invoicing platform for MSMEs.

In the Dominican Republic, 46.1% of households have Internet service and the percentage of households with access to network service increases depending on the socioeconomic groups, being 8.9% in the households of the very low group and 94.1% in those of the very high group, according to the results of the National Survey of Multiple Purpose Households (Enhogar-2021).
